| When Leanne Beasley decided to launch herself into a career of creativity and design she wanted to select a name for her business that meant something. The name ‘Leanne’s House ‘ was chosen to reflect the fact that she wanted to create projects that make you feel as though you’ve gone over to her house for an afternoon to work on a project, share a hot cup of tea and have a bit of a chat.
Leanne’s patterns, books, and teaching, are all full of little drawings, hints, tips, recipes, and other creative ideas for everyday life. Her main objective is to inspire other women to express their own creativity in their homes and lives and to really enjoy doing it.
The inspiration for many of Leanne’s ideas come from her garden. She adores being in her flower, herb, and vegetable garden and finds it a continual source of pleasure. One of her other loves is photography and she can often be found out in the yard snapping away at whatever’s flowering or a bird or butterfly that’s come for a visit.
Another one of Leanne’s loves is keeping journals and scrapbooking. She finds constant inspiration in everything from travel to daily life. She keeps a garden journal (loaded with photos) all year around but adores looking back at Spring and Summer for inspiration in the depths of Winter.
Her current passion is keeping all the people who enjoy her creations up to date via her blog . She says “It’s perfect for me because it combines my love of all things creative including journaling and photography.” While travelling a lot to teach (from New South Wales to Norway) she is also busy working on a new Block of The Month Quilt, ‘Down In The Garden’ and her third book, ‘Enjoying The Moment’.
