| At the age of 8 years old I was given my first sewing machine, from there my stitching grew in confidence and at the age of 13 I was making all of my own clothes. My love of stitching continued through the years and I remember standing at my Grandmothers side, watching her create quilts. I knew then, that I wanted to make one of my own.
I have dabbled in all forms of craft over the years however it wasn't until my second year as Primary School Principal, that I 'discovered'
patchwork and all that it had to offer. I was instantly addicted and made as many quilts as possible in my spare time. In 1999 when my first child was 6 months old, I created my very first pattern and have been designing ever since. I had then, and do now have a passion to share patchwork patterns that are easy to follow and generous in their content, two things that I aim to strive for in every pattern I create.
All of my creations come from my heart, they are designed with a purpose, for me, or for someone in my life. I also want my designs to bring happiness to others, therefore I work in what I call 'happy colours', colours that are bright, fun and happy.
I live in the Hunter Valley of NSW and share my home with my husband and two gorgeous children, who are a constant support and encouragement to me. I am blessed to spend my days creating and designing. Stitching is my passion and I feel very honoured to share these skills not only through my weekly classes, traveling to teach and through my designs as well.
